John and Jane met on a backpacking adventure in Nepal. John, a former sheep shearer, went on the trip to get some clarity about his next adventures in life. Jane — a Peloton instructor — went on the trip to explore the landscape in Nepal.
While on the trip, John and Jane realized that they had one common love — the love for hiking and the love for being outdoors.
Returning back to their home state of Oklahoma, John and Jane hatched a plan to launch a retail store centered around their passions.
While John handled the sourcing of goods and customer service, Jane focused on the web + e-commerce side of the business, building this website in the best design platform on the web — Webflow!
In 1989, John and Jane Doe officially launched Acme Outdoors, the premiere store for outdoor enthusiasts around the state.
To this day, John and Jane return to Nepal yearly to ensure that they never forget their roots and where they came from.

Sunrise Educational Forum (SEF), formerly operating as a close corporation in South Africa since 2009, is now a Non-Profit Organization (NPO) duly registered with the United States of American government since 2021. We have changed its status to align itself with the new vision and life dream with the expansion possibilities in the pipeline of education actions and adapt itself to new areas of action as an immigration service for refugees or immigrants in the USA and farming, orphanages and school for orphans and others in Africa.
The organization has its headquarters in the USA but envisages having its branches in other countries with DR Congo being the pilot country where farming, an orphanage and a school for orphans and the underprivileged are being built. We have our representations in South Africa, Angola, Malawi and Liberia.
The Mission of SEF is to become the premier non-profit educational organization in southern Utah, USA in particular where immigrants or refugees and the homeless are assisted in their immigration needs and in their full integration. Also, SEF is to become that premier non-profit organization committed to raising and educating orphans and the underprivileged holistically in Africa within their premises, to ensure that they receive the warmth, love and necessary education that will make them become responsible and useful citizens in the society and to find families that can adopt them and make them part of traditional families.
SEF is dedicated to using a holistic and sustainable approach in making sure that all the immigrants or refugees are well settled in their dreams of a better life in the USA, that the homeless and the orphans that stay with us get enrolled in its schools or other schools where possible and get the same privileges and education as any other children, thus integrating them fully into society through adoption or referrals when they leave us.

AFRICA
Giving Back to the Country That Raised Us
Millions of children in the world are homeless, live in the street or are orphans. Africa as a continent, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as a country in particular is no exception.
After our recent visit in there, and with the life dream that we have always had, and driven by passion and love that we have for children, and the underprivileged, we are driven by our desire to give back to the country that saw us born, raised or grown up, and backed up by the fact that our own father was an orphan raised in an orphanage because his parents were killed during a war in the DR Congo when he was a very little baby. Today he is over 70 years old with five children and twelve grandchildren who live in South Africa, DR Congo and in USA.
Then, We, his children, have founded Sunrise Educational Forum, a non-profit organization which will help raise and educate orphans and the underprivileged holistically so that they too can become responsible and useful people in the society, making the sun rise in their life just the same way it did in our father’s life, no matter where they live, no matter their race or gender.
The Democratic Republic of Congo is just the first country where we want to pilot this before expanding to other countries. A first school and an orphanage are being built on one of our lands to accommodate these orphans and educate them.
