Sunrise Educational Forum School, whose building will be called "The Benjamin and Verna Walton Building", will be a private and accredited school with special curriculum to meet the vision of the organization as well as the curriculum of the national education of the DR Congo and of the country where the school will be built in the future.
Learn More →Any orphan aged 0-16 years old of any race and gender who is either dropped at the orphanage, or whose parents contact the orphanage or even referred to us by other orphanages or institutions is welcome. Though criteria of selection are of the discretion of SEF management, all orphans are welcome.
Our land is the foundation of our vision for a self-sustaining future. Located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Land 2 spans more than 33 acres and is currently the primary focus of our development efforts. This is where we are building our farms, where the future Sunrise Educational Forum School and orphanage will be located, and where our guesthouse community project will grow.
Learn More →The vision and objectives of Sunrise Educational Forum in Africa are to have all the orphans within their orphanage enrolled in its schools or other schools where possible where they will receive holistic education, privileges, treatment, love, respect, and support as other children. Also to see that all our staff get employment opportunities, to exercise their professional skills and talents in non-segregated school environments, thus creating a better life and conditions for all. SEF will undertake to train teachers and staff on details of school curriculum within the country of operation in general but with specifics or special training related to the vision of the organization.
The Mission of Sunrise Educational Forum (SEF) is to become the premier non-profit educational organization in southern Utah, USA in particular where immigrants or refugees and the homeless are assisted in their immigration needs and in their full integration.
Also, SEF is to become that premier non-profit organization committed to raising and educating orphans and the underprivileged holistically in Africa within their premises, to ensure that they receive the warmth, love and necessary education that will make them become responsible and useful citizens in the society and to find families that can adopt them and make them part of traditional families.
