OUR EDUCATIONAL VISION
Education Today.
Brighter Tomorrows.
At this time, we do not have a school of our own yet.
However, we are in plans to officially start building
in September, 2026. This school will shape
generations to come.
HOW WE SUPPORT CHILDREN TODAY
85+ Children Supported
The 85+ orphans we currently support live in different orphanages and attend schools within their respective communities
Educational Support
Our organization helps provide essential school supplies and educational support to ensure these children have access to learning opportunities
Community Literacy
We also promote literacy initiatives for children living in the communities surrounding our farm site.
Most of the children we support are located in the capital city, though we also serve children and families in the local community where our school site is located

Meet the Owners

John and Jane met on a backpacking adventure in Nepal. John, a former sheep shearer, went on the trip to get some clarity about his next adventures in life. Jane — a Peloton instructor — went on the trip to explore the landscape in Nepal.

While on the trip, John and Jane realized that they had one common love — the love for hiking and the love for being outdoors.

Returning back to their home state of Oklahoma, John and Jane hatched a plan to launch a retail store centered around their passions.

While John handled the sourcing of goods and customer service, Jane focused on the web + e-commerce side of the business, building this website in the best design platform on the web — Webflow!

In 1989, John and Jane Doe officially launched Acme Outdoors, the premiere store for outdoor enthusiasts around the state.

To this day, John and Jane return to Nepal yearly to ensure that they never forget their roots and where they came from.

OUR NEAR FUTURE
Building a School
By the end of the year, Sunrise Educational Forum, will begin to build our own school, whose first building will be named The Benjamin and Verna Walton Building, will become a private, accredited school designed to reflect both the vision of our organization and the natural educational curriculum of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as any country in which future campuses may be established.
OUR SCHOOL WILL SERVE
Primarily Serving Our Orphans
The school will primarily serve the children in our orphanage, providing them with a safe, nuturing, and a high-quality education.
Welcoming Local Community Students
We will also welcome students from the surrounding local community. Enrollment for non-orphan students will be limited to children living within the immediate area where the school is built.
